 Ship-to-ship transfer operations, also known as lightering operations, are operations performed by Transgas in the bay of Callao, having provided safe and efficient service for over 10 years. 

An STS Transfer Operation is an operation where crude oil/petroleum products/liquefied gases are transferred between seagoing ships alongside each other. Such operations may take place at in port, anchor or underway. With 24/7 operational cover, fully equipped and operations approved by local authorities, Transgas can provide customers with the complete STS solution. The overall safety of any Ship to Ship (STS) transfer is reliant upon training, experience, correct equipment, and good planning.

Transgas equipment includes hoses and fenders that are frequently tested and re-certified in accordance with manufacturers guidelines. Each operation in accordance with local authority rules and the latest edition of OCIMF / ICS Guidelines includes:
